Square Appointments Pricing 2026: Plans and Citalu Compared
Square Appointments has three plans per location: Free at $0, Plus at $49 and Premium at $149 a month, each with its own card fees. The Free plan has unlimited staff calendars. Citalu costs $9.99 to $24.99 a month and has no card fees, because your clients pay you directly.

What each Square plan unlocks
Square Free is for solo professionals who take payments and manage a schedule, with an online booking site, reminders and unlimited staff calendars. Plus lists cancellation policies and no-show fees, multi-staff booking and a waitlist. Premium adds future bookings reports, service cost tracking and resource management.
Card fees by plan
In person, Square charges 2.6% + 15¢ on Free, 2.5% + 15¢ on Plus and 2.4% + 15¢ on Premium. Online it charges 3.3% + 30¢ on Free and 2.9% + 30¢ on the paid plans. On Plus, the page says the first 500 texts are free and then each costs 3¢.
What Citalu includes
Every plan has a booking page with a link and QR code, deposits reviewed with a payment receipt, Google Calendar, email reminders and reports. Estudio adds 150 WhatsApp reminders a month with a button to confirm, and Salón brings 300. From Estudio you also get CITU, a WhatsApp assistant that sends you the day's appointments each morning. Citalu takes no commission on your clients or deposits.
When Square is the better choice
If you take cards in person every day and only need basic bookings, Square Free costs nothing until you charge. It also connects to its own hardware, payroll and online store. Citalu is a better fit when you want a fixed monthly price and deposits on the plan you already pay for.
