Messages to Win Back Salon Clients: WhatsApp Examples
To win back a client, message them when it's time for them to return, name their last service and give them an easy way to book. Here are examples to copy. Citalu tells you who's due and leaves the message ready.

When to message
The best time is when it's time for them to repeat their service. It depends on the service: nails and lashes come back sooner than a facial. If you don't know when they last came in, check their history before writing.
Message for when they're due
"Hi, Ana. How are you? It's been a month since your last manicure and I wanted to see if you'd like me to save you a spot. You can pick your time here: [your link]."
Message if it's been months
"Hi, Ana. I haven't seen you at [your business] in a while and wanted to say hi. If you'd like to come back, here are my open times: [your link]."
Message with a promotion
"Hi, Ana. This week I have [promotion] for clients I already know. If you're interested, book here: [your link]."
How to make coming back easy
A client who hasn't been in for months won't ask about hours. Give them your link with open times or two specific options. If they have a usual service, name it. The fewer steps, the easier it is for them to reply.
When to stop messaging
After two messages with no reply, stop. Make a note so you don't keep pushing. In Citalu, Won't be back takes them off the list, for example if they moved away.
How to know who stopped coming
Compare each client's last appointment with how often their service repeats. If you keep a notebook, mark them when you review the month. In Citalu the schedule does it: clients who are 2 months past their date show up in Reports, under Clients who aren't coming back.
Thank-you message after the appointment
The best time to take care of a client is before you lose them. A short message the same day shows you remember them and keeps the next appointment open. Write it with their name and service: if it sounds like a template, it loses its effect.
What not to write
Don't scold them for not coming in. Don't ask why they went to someone else. Don't send the same message three times. One friendly message is enough: if they don't reply, leave them alone and try again later.
Let Citalu tell you who's due
Due to return shows up on your Home screen with the clients who should already be repeating their service. Tap Message and your WhatsApp opens with a sample message you can change. It goes out from your own number and comes with every plan.

Frequently asked questions
Can I send the same message to everyone?
It works better with their name and their service. The same message for everyone feels like advertising.
What friendly message can I send my clients?
One that's about them and not your business. For example: "Hi, [name]. It was great seeing you the other day. Whenever you want to treat yourself again, I'm here."
What makes a client come back?
Good service, a personal touch that makes them feel remembered, and booking without effort. That's why it helps to note their preferences in their client profile and message them when it's time.
How do I write a message to a client?
Greet them by name, say in one line why you're writing and end with a clear action, like your booking link.
How long do I wait before messaging a client?
Until it's time for them to repeat their service. It depends on each service and each client: in Citalu you can set that rhythm per service.
Do I have to offer a discount?
Not always. Often a reminder and an easy booking are enough. Save the discount for dates when you have open time.
