Buffer Time Between Appointments in Your Schedule
Time between appointments needs to show up in your schedule, either built into the service length or as blocked time. If you count on an empty gap appearing, your setup time depends on whatever gets booked.

Name the changeover tasks
List what must be ready before the next client sits down: tidying the station, setting out supplies and updating your notes. Follow the professional procedures for your trade. This guide helps you plan time and doesn't replace health and safety instructions.
Show the time in one consistent way
If setup depends on the service, build it into that service. If it's a one-off break or a general task, use blocked time. Don't count the same gap twice, and check what clients see when they book.
Test your busiest day
Try a run of back-to-back appointments. If the plan only works when someone cancels, you haven't set aside enough time. Also check who sets up the space: having another staff member doesn't mean having another treatment room.

How to put it into practice
- List the tasks that happen between clients.
- Set aside that time without counting it twice.
- Check a day of back-to-back appointments before you publish more hours.
A common question
Is a personal break the same as setting up the station?
No. Plan for both separately. Setting up the space is still work.
