How to Plan Your Week at Your Spa or Salon

Plan the week from the appointments you already have and your team's real capacity. Review absences, long services, shared resources and prep tasks before you offer new times.

Start with what's already agreed

Look at confirmed appointments by day and by staff member. Check whether any sessions need a shared resource or a special length. Don't plan on an empty schedule and then add the commitments you already took by phone.

Set aside time for operations

Preparing supplies, checking payment receipts and answering changes takes time. Assign owners and specific times, especially when the owner also sees clients. A task with no room in the day usually gets pushed to after closing.

Check in midweek

Cancellations and new bookings change the plan. Review gaps and open items without forcing in services that don't fit. Don't confuse filling every slot with improving operations: a day with no margin can pile up delays.

How to put it into practice

  1. Review the week's bookings and absences.
  2. Assign time for tasks outside client appointments.
  3. Do a midweek check on changes and resources.
